This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a classroom where each child has their own set of counters and ten frames to work with.

I am kindly asking for class sets of counters and plastic ten frames to replace the old foam counters that have seen better days.

I have asked for class sets of the plastic yellow and red counters, which are replacing the foam ones, that either have a pencil stab in it or a bite mark. I never liked having the foam ones in the classroom because they were not as sturdy as the plastic ones, I was using 20 years ago. The ten plastic ten frames will come in handy because they will help us develop our number sense. The little condiment containers will be used so the students can place their counters, so each child can have their own set when they are ready to do math.

These counters will last a while in the classroom.
