Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Earlier this school year I started an after-school math program, called Number Ninjas! This program was such a great success that I would like to offer it again this year. This program will take place in our STEAM lab at our school. During this program, students will be able to explore math problems and play fun math games to expand their math knowledge.
My goal for this program is to make math fun for these students after school.
On my list are many different math games and tools to help us achieve our goal of fun! My favorite game from this list is “Splat ''. It is such a simple card game that works like a bingo game. I enjoy this game because there are so many different variations you can use. Students can be using addition, subtraction and multiplication. This is always the first game my students ask to play!
I am so excited that I am able to offer this math program again and I cannot wait for my second round to begin.
