This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am excited to be my grade's math teacher for this upcoming school year. We are trying departmentalization for the first time and there are a few things that would help make the year more successful.

It would be helpful if my students had a place to turn their work in by class, a digital clock that can be seen from across the room, and magnetic base ten blocks that can be used as a visual teaching tool.

Since I will be teaching math to my homeroom class, along with the other two classes from my grade, it is important for the students to have turn in trays by class. That is what three of the trays on the rolling cart are for. The fourth tray will be used to hold extra supplies for students to use as needed: mechanical pencils, lead, erasers, white board markers and extra paper. The clock is needed for students to use when signing out and in for the bathroom, and the magnetic base ten blocks will be placed on the room's whiteboard and will be used by me for teaching and demonstration purposes for the students. These items would help get the school year off to a great start. Thank you for considering to donate to this project for my upcoming kiddos!
