Help me give my students math activities and games to practice concepts independently during math centers, and also chairback buddies to help us keep track of needed items.
My students are wonderful children! Our school is in an urban area and most students qualify for free lunch. They come from many different home situations that are sometimes difficult for them and can cause challenges in the school setting.
My students are eager to learn despite their circumstances and inspiring when they choose to overcome and excel.
My students are special and deserve the best that I can get for them in order to help them meet their goals.
My Project
I teach mathematics to three grade levels on a daily basis. We need a lot of organization to keep track of materials that stay in the classroom when the students leave. The chairback buddies allow each grade level to have a designated place to store books and notebooks when they leave the room. We also need learning games and items to help students practice the skills they are learning independently or in a small group. Having this time to practice helps to reinforce what they have learned as well as encourage students to help each other with their thinking as they work.
