Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My bilingual students learn 50% of their lessons in English and 50% in Spanish. We follow a unique curriculum in both languages alternating each week.

We are expecting to have most of our students come for in-person learning in the Fall of 2021.

Our students will come ready to learn while facing gaps in their learning from the last 18 months of virtual learning. These materials will help students get engaged while in school, learning math.

My Project

Some of the challenges my students face are during math class. We have been lucky to get iPads from the school district. During math class, I would like to organize learning centers.

One center will help students practice number skills while using the iPads (already available in the classroom) and an adaptive app, and the headphones and styluses provided in this project.

The iPad charging station will allow us to keep our iPads charged and safe.

The second center will use the Push-Pop fidgets labeled with sharpies as 100 charts to improve number sense, addition, subtraction, and all while pushing and popping the fidget.

The third center will also use the Push-Pop fidgets labeled with sharpies with the times tables facts.
