This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A kindergarten classroom is a magical place. It is a place where the line between learning and playing is blurred. I love to witness this everyday as my students cheer when I announce it is math centers time.
I have a highly enthusiastic and energetic class composed of kindergarten and transition kindergarten students.
They are very diverse learners with various academic needs. They love to sing, dance, write, construct, talk, and read. They are very inquisitive and learn best when they are able to explore and partake in hands-on activities.
My Project
The 4 math learning centers I am requesting will allow me to provide hands-on, standards based activities that will keep my students engaged during math centers. This will allow me to meet with small groups and provide targeted instruction to each student.
These centers will allow my students to continue to learn as they "play" at each math center.
Having students that are learning and engaged is every teacher's dream! These centers can help this dream come true!
