This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love Math! The materials I have requested will further their hunger for learning and their understanding of important math skills they need to master by the end of 2nd grade.

My students are very active smart 7 and 8 year-old who love to move around, and what a better way to get them moving than by getting them involved in fun math learning centers.

After my math lesson I would like for my students to have more materials and activities to work with to help them gain a better understanding of the skills I teach. These centers will help them a lot!

My Project

These math centers would be a part of our daily math block. After I have taught the lesson of the day and my student's have finished their independent work they will have the option of using one of these math centers individually or in small groups. Each center box covers an important skill that my 2nd graders must master by the end of 2nd grade.

My project will make a difference in the lives of my students by enhancing their understanding of very important math skills.

The math centers I have requested will help my students learn independently or in a small group. The skills they practice and learn from the math centers will continue on with them in their education.
