This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a Title I school, and I have 22 bilingual Pre-K students that love to come to school every day. Most of my students are low income and they receive free or reduced-price school lunch. They have suffered the Harvey devastation and some of them are still recovering from all of their losses.
My students are curious and self-motivated and always ready to learn.
My students need different materials in order to show their true capabilities. I want my students to be more engage in math activities
My Project
My Pre-K students go to the math centers at the end of the day. Sometimes is hard for them to engage in different basic math skills like counting or building, especially at the end of the day when they are tired and they want to rest. These different game activities will help them to be engage for longer period of time, and they will be learning and practicing different skills while playing. By donating to our projects you will help my students to engage during math centers. Learning about counting and number sense will give them a strong math foundation.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
