My students need a printer with toner, four electronic math games, and a set of write-and-wipe boards to build math fluency.

My Students
It would be nice to have math stations where you could play, learn, and grow. One way of meeting the needs of diverse learners is using hands-on manipulatives. It will help reinforce skills that we have already learned. I can print off student projects and materials for differentiated instruction.
The elementary school in which I work is a nurturing community where students typically work hard.
Our students come from a low income home and all of them receive free breakfast and lunch. My first grades always enjoy hands on activities. Many of them are kinesthetic learners, and they love to use materials that are hands-on and that they are able to manipulate.
My Project
My students will use these math centers during class time in order to help reinforce or strengthen skills. The materials I am requesting include an electronic minute math and a set of write and wipe boards. The materials will help the students to meet the rigorous curriculum that we provide. Hands-on materials are important because many of my students are kinesthetic learners, meaning that they learn best through motion and manipulatives. The color printer and ink will enhance their already creative projects and to brighten up our bulletin board display.
These center activities will allow my students to manipulate many different objects in order to connect their minds and skills.
The skills that these centers target in math, will focus on counting and addition/subtraction skills. The donations will allow my students to have more manipulatives to meet their academic needs.
