Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help us complete our math center by supplying us with fun new materials. We are in need of new manipulatives to help us sort, count, pattern, add and subtract. We would also like new math trays for our math center and light table to facilitate engagement with these activities.
The students love to use toys to play math games and learn more about shapes and number concepts.
With the new materials they will be able to use geoboards with colorful pictures to make shapes on their own. The students will also be able to sort, pattern, graph and count with their friends while playing. The materials will definitely encourage math learning, but they will also incorporate social skills like sharing, taking turns, and having conversations while playing.
