My students need 8 motivating math manipulatives such as dice and strategy materials to improve their math thinking, reasoning, and problem solving skills.
I want my students to discover the "Wow, that's amazing!" part of math. I teach a 3rd/4th grade, high ability group of learners in Indiana.
After attending a professional development workshop on math problem solving, I brought back a multiplication dice game for my students to try. They were hooked! They even want to play the game during recess. The only problem is we don't have enough materials.
The games found in the books incorporate the use of cards, dice, and multi-sided dice. Problem solving is integrated into the games that can be adapted to fit the needs of all students. The books are filled with all kinds of strategies, mental math techniques, tricks, tips, math journal ideas, and more to help students develop a deep understanding of math concepts.
Your help will ensure that my students will engage in motivating problem solving activities that will increase their confidence, proficiency, and deeper understanding of math concepts.
