My Students
Our school has been teaching remotely since the start of the school year and I need some supplies for students to use at home.
Our school in Richmond, CA is considered high poverty with a diverse student population.
In fact, our school is one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the Bay Area.
My Project
Having materials to use at home while we are learning remotely will help my first grade students master their math standards.
I would like to purchase some materials for my students to use at home for the remainder of the school year.
Hands on math supplies will help my students learn place value, adding and subtraction strategies and number sense.
It's one thing for the students to watch me demonstrate a concept, but I would like the students to be matching me at home with the same materials that I am using to help with understanding a concept.
More than half of students from low‑income households
