My Project
My goal for this project is to make math come alive by showing students how these concepts are used in the real world—whether it's designing race cars, analyzing data, or solving real-time problems. I want my students to see that math isn’t just something they have to learn, but a powerful tool they can use to think critically, solve problems, and have fun while doing it. Ultimately, I hope to spark their curiosity and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM fields like engineering, technology, and design.
The racing wheels, pedals, computers, headsets, and monitors I’m requesting will transform the way my students experience math.
These tools will allow them to engage with concepts like speed, distance, angles, and data analysis in a dynamic, real-world context. Rather than simply learning about math from a textbook, they’ll actively apply these concepts in an exciting, hands-on way—calculating lap times, adjusting strategies, and interpreting performance data. This immersive experience will not only deepen their understanding but also ignite a passion for math that extends far beyond the classroom.
I am beginning to realize that math is key to designing, building, and improving things—like race cars, bridges, and robots. This project will help them see how math is used in engineering and give them a taste of how these skills can lead to real-world innovations.
