This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in the 3rd grade and need to understand the basics of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing which are very important skills they need in order to succeed this year.

Our school is a Title 1 school and the majority of students qualifies for a free lunch.

My students come from a high poverty neighborhood with a very diverse range of home structures. Some of the students in my class are not working at grade level in math. My students are eager to learn and enjoy anything that has to do with technology and hands-on activities.

My Project

With your kind donations my students will have access to different hands-on activities and CD-ROMs that will help them understand the basics of adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and fractions. These CD-ROMs offered a variety of math drills that will help my students memorize math facts that they need to understand in order to be successful in Math.

My project is very important because my students need to master the basic skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions.

The hands-on activities such as Math Centers and CD-ROMs will help them became stronger in number sense, therefore allowing them know the skills they need to know in order to understand new concepts in math. The toner will help me print different addition, subtraction, multiplication and division drills for homework.
