Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My new students are eager to learn, but are lacking grade level appropriate math and science materials to help supplement the basic textbook.

My students are energetic and ready to learn.

They live in a low socioeconomic community where they are struggling to meet their basic needs. I want my classroom to be a fun place for students to learn. Somewhere they are excited to go and learn about new things. With the help of you and others I know that this can become a reality.

My Project

With these materials my students will enjoy learning experiences that I would not be able to provide otherwise. I envision my students learning and growing in the areas of math and science while using these materials. Our class has a great need for many organizational tools to help foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. These materials will allow for more engaged learning time and less time wasted. Even after a few short weeks of school I have noticed my students' excitement towards learning through games and books. It is important to nurture this excitement by providing more opportunities to learn in this way. With "take it to your seat" math games, students will have the opportunity to choose between a variety of activities and experiences while taking responsibility for their own learning. I also see a great benefit from having a book binder in the classroom. This way students can create books to take home and share what they have learned with their families.

Your donation will have a great effect on my students and their experience in my class.

Not only will your help benefit my current class, but future classes as well. Please do your part in helping me achieve this dream for my students. THANK YOU!
