Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my 5th year teaching second grade. This is a year where the students are becoming very independent but still need that safety net. My students come in my classroom every day excited to learn! They are eager to do well and are always on their A-Game, these children deserve every resource and help they can get to help them excel in their education. Some of these children were affected by last years hurricane Harvey. I want them to overcome that by learning in a positive, healthy, and happy environment. They have the potential to become whatever they want to and we can get them there by instilling the love for learning at a young age.

My Project

These items were chosen because it will definitely benefit the students. These are all excellent manipulatives and resources that will be easily accessible for the students. The numberline will be taped onto their desk for them to always use it when needed. The STEM projects will be perfect for those indoor recess days. The 1 inch cubes will be used when learning about measurement as well as all the other materials picked . These materials as well as the others in the project will be out to good use! I want every day to be the most productive, happy and enjoyable learning environment these kids experience!
