Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom would look like students actively working together engaged in what they are doing. Students working independently in centers, peer teaching.
I want my students to be ahead of the game, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
I have 17 students, 8 boys and 9 girls.
They are all very sweet and happy kids. We belong to a third year charter school. I have a pretty diverse group of kids from different backgrounds and cultures. Our school has a family like environment with happy, caring, teachers and staff.
My Project
Students will use the materials to construct stem project and use in our math and stem centers.
My kiddos love working in centers, it reinforces what we did in class just a different way. The UNO cards, checkers and dominoes helps encourage students to critically think about moves they can make as well as their opponent.
We have very little no classroom center supplies so this will be HUGE for my students.
It will improve their classroom learning experiences through hands on projects and active learning.
