"Do we get to do that?!" is often a phrase heard in 1B. The students in my classroom everyday are eager to learn and try new things. Outside of school they do not typically have many opportunities as I work at a Title 1 school in which many students are a part of the free and reduced lunch program. My school district is in a small community in east Texas and our students do not always have easy access to experiences and opportunities like schools in a bigger city would.
My Project
My students need these math and science kits for their independent learning. The kits are designed for students to be able to work independently while being focused on topics they have learned. This helps to reinforce what has been taught and learned while I as the teacher am able to pull small groups of students to work and reinforce skills that specific groups of students are struggling with. This type of learning and instruction is imparitive for all students because each is able to get exactly what they need. This truly makes my classroom fair for all! Each students gets what they need, not just what is equal for all.
