Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I have a group of 30 fourth graders motivated to learn about the world around them. These students do a great job of listening to instructions and following directions to complete assignments to the best of their abilities. I differentiate lessons to meet the needs of each individual child and reinforce, refine, and enrich as much as possible.

The individual activities I have chosen for this project will encourage independent learning with a focus on science and math helping students to become critical problem solvers.

Mathematicians and scientists use their knowledge to learn about the world around them. The science puzzles in this project will allow students access to learn about dinosaurs and space in a fun, hands-on way. For math, students will use the dry-erase clipboards to interact with direct instruction lessons by problem-solving on tasks and sharing with other students and the teacher.

As the teacher, I will use the magnetic protractor to model measuring angles with students and the students will use the measuring tapes to measure items around the classroom! While measuring, we will want to keep the floor clean with the cordless sweeper!
