This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students’ lives are very stressful and chaotic. They face homelessness, social, and economic barriers every day. Most live in single-parent households and come from second language homes where most parents did not complete their education. Every day my students face new struggles and challenges. This impacts their learning and concentration as well as their focus on their school work.
My 24 students are bright, energetic, enthusiastic, affectionate and thoughtful.
They are in dire need of rich and rewarding experiences that, due to family circumstances, they do not have the opportunity to experience outside of school. They face so many challenges in and outside of the classroom that I am trying to create a classroom that is a haven from the outside world, even if it is virtually at times!
My Project
My students are in need of rich math and science learning materials for the classroom. They are interested in learning about math and science but need hands-on materials to reinforce their understanding of the concepts taught. The books and materials will help augment our math and science curriculum and help fill in the gaps.
Your donations will help encourage and support students engagement in their math and science learning.
The TPT gift card will be used to purchase much needed math and science lessons and activities that will be used to enhance our curriculum. It will allow me to create games and activities that will laminated and stored in the pouches and bins for use each and everyday .
