My Students

My students are special in their own way because they bring a light into the classroom that brightens the lives of not only myself but their peers as well. My students come from different cultures and ethnicities. I try to teach the value of respect and how to be a team no matter the background. These students come from urban areas that had lead in the water. Being with these students you can see how the water can affect their minds depending on their circumstance and hardships.

EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION OF LIFE!

I want to be able to help push these students to the next level. I want to be able to give them opportunities they have not seen and teach them important values that will guide them to being successful even at an early age. The culture in the school is great! Students want to come to school and love learning! I want to be able to keep that mindset and help them be future leaders of tomorrow.

My Project

These materials such as the place value kit can help my students with excelling in their Math academics by having the manipulatives to help them do that. The magnetic counting and equations could help with addition and show my scholars hands-on how to add and count numbers. A lot of these math manipulatives can help my students when it comes to the NWEA test because they can know what the questions are asking due to the fact that they have had exposure and an understanding to what it is they have learned thus far in our class. These centers are very important.
