My Students
My students are eager to be at school. They love learning but especially anything that is related to math or science. My classroom is an extra unit that was added after school had already started. The students transitioned great into our new classroom. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 this is the first semi-normal year my students have had because of schools closing in March 2020 and some being virtual in 2020-2021 school year.
My Project
The chairs we are using now are chairs we borrowed from a pre-k class and are not size appropriate for first grade. The stools would help improve posture for reading, math, and improving writing skills. We need the other supplies to create a more interactive learning environment. The markers and dry erase circles will allow my students to practice skills before the turn in their work.
My students will gain knowledge in the area of math and reading through working with small groups.
