Math and Reading Games Desperately Needed!!!

My students need math and English Language Art games for centers during our small group time throughout the day.

My Students

I greet my students with a high five and ask how their evening was. They begin with morning warm ups and right after the announcements, we start our day. We work from subject to subject, but whatever we are doing, I work hard to make it fun!

Our amazing school is a low income school that has lots of diversity.

We have such a high amount of free or reduced lunch that our school received a scholarship to feed all the students breakfast and lunch for free! Isn't that great?! Now many of our students at least have two decent meals in a day. My students are so great! They vary in ethnic backgrounds, but we all come together as a unit. It's wonderful! I have students who are advanced and I have others who are below basic. The advance like to help their other classmates when they know someone isn't understand or just needs a step in the right direction.

My Project

The math and English Language Arts games and materials I am asking for with help so much in our small group/center times. Being a new teacher, my resources are low and I'm continuously borrowing from other teachers. During small groups I can use the games to help students learn a math or English skill in a fun way. I want the students to understand that learning can be fun. Other games can be a center activity to continue their learning, but with others students. The ELA games and cards I asked for will also be a great help during ELA centers. Again, being new I don't have many other resources except the teachers manual. These games and activities will help add to the skill being taught, but in a more fun way.

This donation to my classroom will be very beneficial to my students.

I always want my students to be engaged in active learning. I feel that these materials will give my students a resource that they haven't seen before. I want my students to know that learning can be fun no matter what subject we are in. These materials will help them grow and excel in education.
