This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each item I have selected today has its own special purpose in my classroom, and will helpful and fulfill a need of so many of my students. Many of the items, hand sanitizer and tissues will keep my room clean and eliminate lots of germs. Students will have direct use of other items like a pencil sharpener, erasers and lead as they take notes and do math problems. The special treat of Origami paper will be for my accelerated students that need a project when their math is done.
My goals for this project is to make sure that all of my students have a safe, clean setting to work in and the supplies they need be successful in my math class.
I work in a Title I school, and these supplies will be of great value to many of my students that will come to school without them.
I am thankful for programs like this that allow me to create a classroom of equity and preparedness.
