My students attend school in a low income, high poverty school district. Most of their daily meals are provided at school through our free breakfast and free lunch program. Their home lives are very diverse. Some live with biological parents, many are helping raise siblings, others live with one parent or grandparent, while some are in foster care.
My first graders are resilient!
No matter what life throws at them, they overcome it to become the best they can be. My students are very hard working and always striving to achieve their full potential inside and outside the classroom.
My Project
Providing my students with a new iPad will help them access as well as succeed in our new online math curriculum. My students love technology; however, the majority of them do not have access to it at home. Providing technology with the iPad in my classroom will not only help my students succeed in our new math curriculum but also provide them with a life skill for their future workplace.
iPads and technology are a great way of inspiring and motivating students to learn.
iPads are another great tool to teach, help students succeed and instill the love of learning just like books, paper, and pencil are.
