My Students

My first grade​ class is a place of challenge, discovery, and growth filled with many different opportunities for all students. They are creating a foundation for their future learning and education. My students face the challenges of living in a high poverty area, yet they come to school eager to learn every day.

The students grow and learn in different ways with different supports.

They bring to the class their wonderfully diverse backgrounds and an eagerness to learn English as many of them are ELL students and students with special needs. All of my 1st grade students have unique needs and talents that help them grow as lifelong learners.

My Project

My students loving learning on their iPads, and on the computer. The problem is sometimes they want to listen to math being explained or a book, and it's difficult for some students without headphones. Headphones and AirPods would change things greatly for the children. Some students need space, and being too close to a partner is difficult for them, and for those students the AirPods would be perfect since they're not attached and they can even be in their own seats or spaces.

Headphones and AirPods with a charging station will help them listen and do critical math and financial literacy work on their iPads and the computers without being distracted or distracting others.

It would be great for them to able to complete math, financial literacy, and reading in quiet and with hygiene since they will all have their own headphones. So please help my students achieve even more success by adding these headphones to their classroom technology center, it would mean a world of difference to them.
