My Project
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to request donations for a few classroom supplies: dry erase markers, bubbles, glue sticks, and stickers. These items may seem simple, but they will be key tools in helping my students learn essential financial literacy skills in an engaging and hands-on way.
Here’s how we’ll use them:
Dry erase markers will be used for interactive lessons on budgeting, where students will write down their expenses and savings goals. By allowing them to easily adjust their choices, they can visually grasp how different decisions impact their financial balance.
Bubbles will serve as a fun metaphor for economic concepts like inflation and bubbles in the market, making these more abstract ideas easier to understand through visual and physical demonstrations.
Glue sticks will be used in creative projects where students design their own “financial portfolios” by cutting and pasting pictures of needs and wants. This activity will help them differentiate between essential expenses and discretionary spending.
Stickers will be used as rewards for mastering financial terms and concepts, motivating students to reach specific learning milestones.
