This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the 2023-2024 school year approaches, I will be switiching to teaching 8th grade mathematics. Last year, I was privileged to teach advance math to a wonderful group of 7th graders. Next year, I will be privileged to continue teaching advanced courses to them as 8th graders. This group of 7th graders are amazing. Their love for learning, pursuing a career, and working hard towards high achievements makes teaching them not feel like I am doing a job, but a hobby. The materials for this lesson, such as graphing materials, will help enhance their learning.

In eighth grade, students will be exposed to graphing equation and quadratic, I want my students to have fun even in challenging units.

I will also be teaching other groups of students. Therefore, the rolling whiteboard will allow me to keep material up for the next day as transitions occur as there will be a lot of learning, And we can never have enough pencils and whiteboard erasers in a true math class where learning and teaching is shared.
