My pre-k students would benefit immeasurably from fun math manipulatives in our classroom! I am a pre-kindergarten teacher in a city school in Maryland, the students I teach are 4 and 5 years old. 95% of the students in my class receive free or reduced lunch and many of the students live in undesirable homes and neighborhoods.
My students face many obstacles that may put them at a disadvantage while growing older. Some of the families do not have working parents and do not have the supplies necessary to learn and get ahead.
I have found various math manipulatives that would make learning really fun for the students! These activities will help them count, learn their numbers, patterns, and sorting skills. The activities are all hands-on and will allow students to work in small groups at centers to gain cooperation skills.
Your help can make it possible for these young students to gain the chance to get ahead in learning! At this age, every educational activity helps and makes a difference in their lives. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity!
