My Students
There are 30 loving, fun, poverty stricken and excited about school students in my room. For most of them, this is their very first year of school and first time around other students their age. Some students know all of their letters, but some do not. Some are able to read a sentence, but some can not. All of my students are in need of some sort of help, and in order to become readers, they need quality learning resources to help them at all levels of their academic journey. My students are tactile learning as they are still developing their expressive language and need centers and organizational materials to help them achieve greatness. They are full of energy and need highly engaging and culturally relevant materials for the new way of school after COVID 19. This project would help support their learning in the classroom and if unforeseen circumstances land us back in remote learning.
My Project
These materials will ensure all students have enough supplies to access exciting and relatable learning experiences while remaining safe from germs! Stem bins and coding bots are essential introductions to career fields that will significantly impact low-income student's lives. Materials can also be taken home if unforeseen circumstances warrant another lockdown!
The Neat Seat organizers will allow me to keep all student materials organized and sanitized at their own seats and provide storage space for the cool learning tools like math ice cream scoops and fidget LEGOS for when their bodies need a break!
