It takes a village to raise a robotics team, and it takes a lot of tools and equipment to build a robot! Students in FIRST Robotics build their robots from the ground up using raw material, precision machining, and the engineering design process to create a functioning competitive machine!
Building a robot is an incredible hands-on learning experience for our students and it takes a lot of raw material!
Our students have taken the opportunity to increase their knowledge and use of CAD, which has greatly increased their need for 3D printing filament. Dial calipers are necessary for us to measure and machine with precision, and the staple gun will help us sturdily construct our bumpers to protect our carefully constructed robot frame.
These materials will go a long way in helping our team to be prepared for our ongoing competitions, where our students will continue to learn, improve, and iterate their designs.
