Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Starting a new year is always exciting! As the new year approaches, my first grade class needs the following items. They need writing journals to keep their entries in rather than individual paper. The children will be able to keep organized with their writing and after we complete the journals, the children will be able to take it home as a keepsake of first grade.
The children will need new carpet spots because I have had my old ones for several years.
It is much easier to have carpet spots instead of a large classroom rug. It is cleaner because I am able to sweep and mop the floor.
As for the Teacher Pay Teacher gift card, I will be able to get new material for our new reading program, CKLA. There are many supplemental activities for the children so they can reinforce their reading and writing skills.
All of these items will help my class begin a great school year!
