I have the privilege of working with a group of incredible kindergarten students. I feel honored that I get to be their first experience with school and it is my goal to create a classroom that fosters a love of learning.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds.
Some of my students are English Language Learners; others are from military families. I have students in foster care and others that come from single-parent homes. I work hard to build a positive classroom environment which fosters a love of learning, no matter what background the child is coming from. This project will support that learning environment.
My Project
As we prepare to return to in person learning I want to provide my kindergarten students with some fun and engaging activities as we transition back into the classroom.
One of the most loved activities in a kindergarten classroom is Magnatiles.
With Magnatiles the possibilities are endless. The Magnatiles set I am requesting will allow students to expand their level of creativity by providing unique pieces like wheels, stairs and windows. I am also requesting a new CVC activity that will be great to help beginning readers read new words in an engaging way. This project will also provide my students with a math activity to explore numbers and ways that numbers are made up. Finally, I am asking for stickers to provide to my students as incentives for working hard.
