This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Donor's choose is packed full of materials to help my fourth grade classroom have the materials to build student social and emotional growth. My classroom is made up of students who do not have the opportunity outside of the school day for social activities, and here is where you can help.

In the classroom, I would like to allow the students time to work together on activities - where they will learn how to cooperate and share.

The magnetic building blacks, tiles, cubes and interlocking discs will allow for cooperative learning, promoting social skills and cooperation. These materials will allow that to happen within the classroom. Building and solving problems together, will create the experiences that they don't get outside of school.

The pencils, animals erasers and squishy toys will be used as positive reinforcement. Desk pets are a popular choice of preferred incentive for classwork, achievement and social achievements in the classroom. The students work towards earning a class pet and materials to take care of them (food and entertainment).
