My Students

My students are absolutely my favorite part of teaching! When they enter my class, they are sometimes stuck in the mindset that learning is something specifically confined to schools. In my classroom, we work hard to change that notion and create a love for learning that connects with personal goals and lasts a lifetime. My students need and deserve opportunities to show them how literacy can be one of their greatest tools in navigating life and making the most of it.

My students thrive when they are given opportunities to create, laugh, and share stories.

They better understand something when they have multiple methods of accessing information. Interactive notebooks allow them to put pockets, charts, pictures, and more in one convenient spot in order to master and review content more readily. When learning incorporates creativity and fun, the possibilities for my students are truly endless!

My Project

These classroom basics can truly make a difference! With your help, students will use pastel colored papers to keep organized and reduce reading glare. They will also use the requested materials to create interactive notebooks, or compositions books with fold-able, easy to navigate content. Students will bring or be provided with a composition book but your help will turn this from an ordinary notebook to an extraordinary, hands-on learning tool!

With these materials, students will be able to better engage with English Language Arts Lessons and improve their organizational skills.

I will be able to better reference which paper has which material. Pastel and gray papers will also reduce glare for readers who need visual accommodations. The glue sticks and colored pencils will be used so that students can create a notebook with fold able, hands-on activities to promote fluent literacy.

With these materials, I can better implement a hands-on, engaging, and effective learning experience for my students.
