This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you recall having the ability to draw, cut, glue create anything your imagination led you to in preschool? Scribbles were castles and lines represented an abundance of characters. During distance learning, my students are lacking materials to work with from home that would allow them to further their learning as well as expressing their creativity.
My Project
School materials allow our preschool students/families to take charge of their learning. During group/independent work times they will have the materials needed to complete an activity. Currently, my students are choosing to draw to express their emotions during this unprecedented time. Making sure our children are well equipped with what is needed will make an amazing difference in my preschool students.
My preschoolers are immensely engaged with their activities with crayons and papers at hand and are more likely to stay on task.
The materials that I have selected will help my preschoolers have an effective and enjoyable learning experience through distance learning. Our children need our support to further enhance their creativity, express their emotions, and practice their fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.
I have noticed how my preschoolers' self-esteem blossoms as they demonstrate the work they created. These materials will positively affect their developmental growth and self-esteem. Thank you for considering my project.
