Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students only receive music education once a week but they always show their excitement and passion to learn music and the instruments. I am in dire need of materials for the students to learn how to play their instruments. I teach elementary music at multiple elementary schools to 4th and 5th graders. Music enrollment is high this year and I and passionate about providing quality education and materials for my amazing young musicians!
Having a class set of books for each instrument is necessary because that is the main source of curriculum for instrumental music students.
Instrument maintenance is also a necessity. Many of my students do not have cleaning cloths for their flutes and clarinets which are supposed to be used each time they play their instruments. My violin players need shoulder rests/pads as well!
