Help me give my students learning remotely this year. COVID is creating a new way to receive therapy. I will be working remotely from home with a full caseload for the foreseeable future.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I’m a Speech Pathologist in NYC public schools. My caseload involves children with special needs in a low income area. They do not have the ability to print sheets, so all therapy materials need to be interactive. I work with children 3-11. Please help me support them the best I can, so that I can make all in- person sessions as productive as possible.
My Project
Students will be learning and receiving therapy remotely this year. We need correct materials to provide appropriate therapy as I continue to serve these kids. I currently have very limited materials as each child has very specific state mandated learning needs. Teachers choice was taken away so I must buy my own materials to make this happen. I will buy boom learning cards, virtual materials and virtual screening materials to meet each child’s needs. These kids deserve the best, and at home learning materials have not been provided for Speech providers. Please take a moment and help me best support them!
