Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help give my students in 3rd grade UFLI Word Work Mats so that they can learn how to manipulate the sounds they have learned in their UFLI lessons each day. With the magnetic folders and letters students will be able to manipulative the letters to form many word combinations. The folders also work as whiteboards allowing us to use less materials during the sessions.
Using the magnetic letters on the magnetic folders during my lessons will significantly increase my students' ability to understand the phonics lesson being taught.
These letters and folders would make a huge difference in my teaching and allow students to engage in kinesthetic learning.
The magnets would be used to create tiles for digraphs, vowel teams, r controlled vowels, etc. for our work mats.
