This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students always come into my classroom excited to work with me. They help each other each and every day. Students are always coming into the classroom and asking if we are doing an activity that they enjoyed to help them understand a phonics concept. Magnetic tiles and ten frame blocks will be extremely beneficial to my students in working towards their learning goals as well as allow them hands-on experience to gain an understanding of the concepts we are working on. For instance, currently, some students are working on regrouping with addition. For some students, it is beneficial to use the base ten kit to visualize how they can regroup using the tens and ones. The magnetic tiles will help students build CVC, CVVC, CVCE as well as other words to decode. My students will be very excited about these new additions!
