Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We all have different ways of learning! What I've seen with my students is their sensory needs sometimes get in the way of their learning. They have a lot of energy and need a healthy way to use it!
In seventh grade, students are at the level of education where they are asked to stay seated for most of the day, but still at the stage of development where they are energetic and have a hard time sitting still.
This project will serve students' needs by providing materials to create a conducive learning environment. Bouncy Bands give students an outlet to get out their energy while staying in their seats. Class headphones allow students to do work independently and effectively without disturbing others. With headphones, students can listen to music during independent work time as well as audiobooks to follow along with the class novel or for their independent reading.
