This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to allow my students to use maker space equipment and bring their creative projects to life. While we have access to some fantastic maker space tools, we often lack the specific materials needed to utilize the equipment fully. By providing these materials, my students will be able to complete their projects from start to finish, learning valuable skills in design, problem-solving, and engineering along the way.

The requested materials will directly support my students in using industry-standard tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters.

These tools allow students to engage with real-world technology, but without the right materials, they can’t fully explore the possibilities of these tools. With the right supplies, students will be able to apply their ideas, experiment, and iterate, gaining hands-on experience that can’t be replicated through traditional learning methods.

My students are hardworking, driven, and dedicated to their learning. They thrive when allowed to engage in hands-on projects, and many go above and beyond to push the limits of their creativity. Using industry equipment in the classroom will allow them to develop skills that are applicable in a wide range of fields, preparing them for future success in today’s technology-driven world.
