My Students
My students are energetic, fun-loving second graders, classified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They attend a District 75 school in Staten Island, where they receive Special Education instruction and services in a self-contained classroom. My students enjoy participating in hands-on activities and games. They love playing, movement, music, toys, and sensory activities.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because I will be able to create durable, interactive, and colorful activities that will help to increase student engagement.
By donating to our project, you will help create a fun learning environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
These materials will be utilized to create differentiated activities, centers and projects. When students engage with hands-on activities that are created with their abilities and learning needs in mind, it will directly increase attention, focus, and achievement.
Unfortunately, this year, there have been budget cuts and the money allotted to teachers to spend on their classroom was removed completely. My students and I appreciate your support more than you know!
