My Students

Thank you for considering supporting my class of 3rd Graders!

The students in my class are members of the Oglala Nation and live in Kyle, South Dakota.

Our school is a federally funded tribal contract school in the Pine Ridge Reservation. LWS provides 100% of students with free breakfast and lunch, and while we have all had a unique year of struggles, my students are eager to return to the classroom. DonorsChoose and all of the amazing donors have helped my colleges, and I support our students with the necessary materials to support our students' learning the best we can!

As many teachers around the country can relate, I spend a lot of my own money supporting my students with classroom materials and creating a cozy environment in my classroom. However, my students often still lack access to many resources. I feel strongly about creating a classroom environment that students enjoy being a part of every day. I greatly appreciate any support that provides my students with what they need to be successful!

My Project

As I welcome my 3rd Graders back to in-person learning, please support us in purchasing extra PPE, sanitation equipment, and water filters.

While our classroom may look different than it ever has before, I strive to continue making it a place that is comfortable and inviting, and embraces connections across content areas, and between each other.

And most importantly, a classroom that is clean and safe.

My students will use these materials daily as they enter the room, to keep their hands clean and make sure they're ready for a great day of learning. These materials will help us create a secure, but comfortable environment as we come back together for the first time in over a year!
