This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The majority of my students are below proficiency in science and math. One way to help them improve is to provide experiences and opportunities for them to learn and acquire mastery of concepts through hands-on activities, inquiry-based lessons and investigations.
The goal of helping these students improve and acquire mastery can only be achieved if they are provided with the right materials.
My students find hands-on and scientific investigations helpful to their learning compared to traditional learning through lectures. When they get to do activities using inquiry or investigation their interest levels usually goes up and have more sense of ownership on learning the concepts.
