This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a 5th-grade class in a predominantly Hispanic school district that serves a high population of low-income students.
The beginning of the year will be a great challenge for both my students and me.
We are coming back to the classroom after a virtual learning year. I know that my incoming 5th grade students will be facing many challenges and will need a lot of academic support. I want to be able to help them and also challenge them by making sure I am ready every day to give them a great learning experience.
My Project
The products I am requesting will improve literacy and math skills for my incoming fifth graders.
VersaTiles will engage my students during our small group instruction and will also help them work independently.
VersaTiles will help them practice and master their literacy and math skills and concepts. The product provides content visually and hands-on. The VersaTiles are standards-aligned to our curriculum and will help students check and correct their own work. This project will make a great difference for my English Language Learners education, learning will be fun and engaging.
