My Students
My kinders are an energetic group of little people who delight in learning. They are and will become readers, writers, mathematicians, explorers, problem-solvers and ultimately, leaders. I have the opportunity to teach a group of zealous and diverse learners! They are learning how to build their character by sharing, helping, caring and valuing one another. We all have the common goal of making learning our priority. In our classroom, we are also learning to recognize our differences and appreciate them. Our school is a larger community of students with a growth mindset where we learn from our mistakes and persevere through difficult moments to achieve academic success.
My Project
Please give my students a fun way to explore as mathematicians and scientists using Magna Tiles. These tiles will allow my students to build, construct and allow for creativity while still learning about geometric shapes, symmetry, angles and more!
They also meet a criteria for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
My students love magnets and constructing buildings. I will be able to teach and engage students into conversations about the different geometric shapes and how magnets attract. The Magna-Tiles Cars Expansion Set will also allow my students to stick the Magna Tiles in any configuration. I am excited about the the endless ways to use Magna-Tiles!
