My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 50% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Queens. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic.
My Project
Our school has 800 students. Our elementary school houses grades Pre-k through Grade 5. Masks play a vital role in the prevention of Covid. Our school is in need of masks. Our school has gone through 8,000 masks so far this year.
This project will protect 800 students.
NYC follows strict guidelines for City Students as well as City Employees. People may not enter the building without a mask. Those that come to our school that do not have a mask, we must provide a mask for them. We also must provide additional masks for those that need a mask replacements.
