Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is comprised of 88% minority students, and 63% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is ranked in the bottom 50% of all 3,601 schools in Florida. However, these numbers do not tell the true story of how incredible the students at our high school are. Every year these kids amaze me with the connections they can make and with the passion they develop towards their community.

I truly believe that these students will change the world, and I want to do everything I can to help them do it.

My Project

At a high school with over 3,000 students that is located in a hot a humid state, our kids go through a lot of face mask during the day. Students are constantly asking their teachers for new mask once theirs gets sweaty or dirty. The students look to their teachers to keep them safe, so many are using their own money to buy extra mask, I myself have purchased multiple boxes of mask to keep in my classroom, but the kids are going through them faster than I expected.

With your support, I can get enough boxes to give half of the teachers at our school one box of disposable mask to keep in their room.

While that may not seem like a lot, it will be a tremendous help. Help Cypress Creek mask up to ensure a safe school year!
