I teach a fun, active group of 25-second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.

With the way schools are, books are a way to engage the students. We can read a story and imagine we are somewhere else!
Books transport the students to another world!
These books are books the students have requested to have in the library. Many of them are series books. Books in a series are a way to engage reluctant readers. Once they find one that they like, they will be excited to know there's an entire series waiting for them! The students will enjoy these books taking them to another world.
We are also in need of disposable face masks. The kids are still little and sometimes forget their masks or lose them at recess. We are in need of mask replacements to help keep us safe!
